Discovering Turkey

FROM THE SCHOOL ARCHIVE · 2018

The summer 2018 programme opened a window onto Turkey, exploring the country through its ancient cultural heritage, language and ways of life.

Children danced to Turkish music, tasted traditional dishes and made colourful handmade lamps. These activities helped them encounter a different culture through movement, flavour and art.

The week ended with creative fancy dress inspired by Turkish art and distinctive cultural details. This school-based journey around the world left the children with happy memories and impressions of Turkey.
