Tucked away in the peaceful grounds around Wat Phu Khao Thong in Ayutthaya, Ban Khong Pho offered children a place to discover green spaces and learn from nature. This field trip supported the project Save the Earth: Creating New Life Without Harming the Planet.

The original school story, published under the former name Wanisa Rangsit School, introduced Ban Khong Pho Sufficiency Economy Learning Centre. Its displays included royal initiative projects, demonstration rice fields, vegetable gardens, income-generating fruit crops and animal care.

Surrounded by green vegetable gardens, children observed, experimented and practised. They gathered ideas for their own creative work and practical project assessments, while enjoying time playing in nature and planting rice together.

The children explored stations for caring for goats, hens and fish, discovering roots and soil, and learning about food at Ban Khong Pho.

At the special rice-planting station, children handled rice seedlings, felt the muddy soil beneath their feet and experienced the warmth of the sun as they planted together.
